I have been absent from the blog, though very active on my Girl on Fire Facebook page. If you are a fan from elsewhere and want to check out the page, please feel free to do so! :-) I would love to have your company. :-)
It is a sad day, but I have stopped my weight loss supplements. :-) It was really a price issue and such a drastic difference of opinions between some of the folks there that I had to give it up. But surprisingly, I am doing quite well. I thought I would have crazy ravenous hunger, devouring everything I could find within a 10-mile-or-so radius that didn't get away quickly enough. But surprisingly, after the first day of transition, I was actually not that hungry. Plus, I don't have as frequent cravings for meat and cheese. Sure, I see it in the fridge (and am partially convinced that it is the only food they eat up in Upstairsland), but the desire to polish off a whole package of sliced turkey and slices of cheese is not as bad. It has been a little bit of a struggle though because I've literally had to retrain myself not to eat just because I think I'm hungry. I just have to restrain myself and think, am I really hungry or just bored/lonely/whatever. :-)
I have stopped having the crazy fluctuations of the scale and am staying consistently around 187. I think I need to probably get some more exercise and get out my workout DVDs. Truthfully I do so much better when it's warm outside when it comes to working out. I know that's a wussy excuse, so I am getting out my workouts and getting some exercise at home. I was thrilled to discover that I still have my Zumba workouts in various places. I found my Exhilarate workout DVD inside a different workout DVD case, and the workout that was supposed to be in that DVD case in another DVD case. I've never been really have been good with DVDs, lol. But anyway, I will get the Exhilarate one out this evening and dance my butt off. Maybe it will get the scale moving downward. :-)
Tomorrow my fiancé and I are going to Outback for dinner and to Dave and Busters for some games. I am going to test my claim that I can get something vegan (or vegan-ish) almost anywhere. :-) I got a preview of the menu online and its looking like there are plenty of vegetables that I can get a la carte and just ask them to leave the butter off. So we'll see. I actually got a vegan-ish dish at Denny's once, and I thought it was pretty sweet. So let the vegan adventures commence. :-)
That's all for me today. Have a great day.
