Sometimes, you just have an off day. For me, it lasts a few days each month.
No worries, I'm not going to get all TMI or anything. I just mean that I have a few days each month where I usually end up eating a whole ton, and my weight goes up. :-) And then, I stop eating like a maniac on a food bender and the weight magically goes back down. And, like clockwork, it happens every month, and like clockwork, the weight comes off afterward.
Needless to say, I crave tons of things and sometimes they are not vegan. I could get all defeated and beat up over that, and yeah, sometimes I feel kind of bummed out because it is somewhat hard to control. I know with my fiancé and my parents being avid omnivores (in fact, my fiancé can have stomach issues if he doesn't get enough protein... but he's not trying to be vegan, but occasionally goes through periods of not eating a lot of meat), the possibly of having a dwelling with absolutely no meat or cheese in it is going to be almost impossible. So, I have to keep a very tight reign on my eating, or just accept that some days just suck. Neither one sounds particularly appealing to me, but eventually I will get to the point where it doesn't happen anymore. It will just take a lot of time, effort, and work!
And I have decided to buy anymore soda since all of it is gone. I don't have the money to buy excessive amounts of soda, and my mom doesn't like me drinking tons of the sparkly stuff. (Yes, I live with my parents, but I'm getting married and ergo moving out in a little over a year, so cut me a little slack, wouldya? You're just jealous of my awesomeness.) Anyhoo, I take supplements with a trace amount of caffeine, so it is much easier to quit soda with those than it is to go cold tofu. :-) I have quit soda in the past and had severe headaches, almost puked one time, and just become a rabid bitch if I don't have a little caffeine in me. So it will help a lot to have the supplements to help me. :-)
And with school out it will hopefully be easier to start working out more regularly. When I started my vegan diet I stopped running for a little while, so I wasn't trying to control a ton of variables at once. Then, I stopped for longer and it was really hard to get started again. But I am determined to get back to the gym (or the DVDs) and work my butt off. I see all these folks flashing their guns and I am insanely jealous, but realize that I'm not going to get them by sitting on my butt. :-)
Speaking of, my Etsy store is slowly picking up views. I got totally geeked out since I got three views today, which goes to show you how new the business is. :-) (Just started up the store a few days ago) I intend to make some more pretty bracelets and maybe some other projects. I have always wanted to learn how to make soap, plus I make stuff like cards and macramé bracelets. And I also want to learn some other beading forms and such. :-)
I am going to call it a night and try out this new lotion and body wash that my best friend gave me for Christmas. I am so excited to give her the gift I bought for her as well. Have a fantastic night, Namaste and enjoy the journey. -S
